It was a beautiful vacation had in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands in the Spring of 2016! Mostly relaxing at our condo resort at Wyndham Bluebeard’s Beach Club, we took in the beauty of this Caribbean island right from the resort’s private beach which included it’s own pool bar, snorkel/kayak rental and a sweet little resident cat who reminded us of our own back home. We ventured out a few times off the resort to take a ferry to St. John, a nice evening out at Fish Tail’s, and a wonderful day at serene Lindquist Beach.
We booked our 1 bedroom condo off of VRBO.com and found a great deal at Bluebeard’s Beach Resort, a gated condo resort located on the southern part of St. Thomas. We were surprised at how spacious the condo was for the 2 of us (probably would recommend a bigger condo for families of 4 or more), a quiet balcony setting overlooking the main grounds and ocean to have our morning coffee, and the beautiful private beach we mainly spent most of our time on.
This sweet little guy was nearly adopted by us until we remembered we had his twin brother at home waiting for us 🙁 He was well taken care of and fed well by the folks at the snorkel rental booth.
Playing around with slow shutter speed settings at dusk.
Outside the condo resort, you will be driving on the opposite side of the road as you head into town.
We headed up to the tallest mountain on the island, despite the fog…
Which you probably shouldn’t go when it’s foggy and you will not see any sort of view but they do have an awesome gift shop to purchase all your souvenirs for a great price. BTW – EVERYTHING is expensive on St. Thomas from groceries to the small travel toiletries and with limited brands. Make sure you bring enough shampoo unless you want to pay $5 for a tiny bottle.
Heading back down the mountain we spotted this poor guy 🙁 Wish we had some snacks to give him
On another evening, we had dinner at this fun place – great food and sushi!
This is the public transportation bus
A sweet mama hen looking for us to give her some snacks for her babies
Beautiful Lindquist Beach – highly recommend!!
