2012 | Year in Review

Dang! This year went by way too quickly! 2012 provided me with the opportunity to focus on a creative outlet that had been missing from my life for years. I re-embraced my passion for photography and began to develop out of my comfort zone, creatively and personally. There is so much to learn about the art form that I am continuously learning new things every day. Topics from camera settings and technique, retouching and posing strategy, communication and marketing all help make me be an overall better photographer so I can provide each of my clients the unique sessions they deserve . I thank God every day for giving me a gift that I can give to others, for the ability to see the world in a way that seems surreal sometimes, and for giving me a sentimental nature that truly appreciates the memories that can be recalled through photographs.

I would have never thought that anyone would be interested in my style of work and I am so grateful for all the kind words and support. If I worked with you this year, I sincerely thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be your personal photographer and capture the essence of your family/child/cat/motorcycle/love in 2012. I look forward to working with you all again and capturing new families and couples in 2013! Please enjoy a glimpse of the sessions I have been so lucky to shoot this year!

Special thanks to: Ryan for supporting and loving me, fixing my computer issues and gifting me with awesome photography equipment; friends and family who are super encouraging of this endeavor and continue to send people my way; and Brenda Murphy Photography & Wolfcrest for your friendship and the opportunities you have provided.
